Be A Beautiful Beekeeper
Each hat includes:
- Hat
- Veil
- Hat Box
- Donation in your name to the American Beekeeping Federation
Beekeeping Hat
My hats are light weight, yet stay in place on my head when I lean over to inspect the hives. The ribbons are sewn by hand around the brim of the hats. The silk flowers are sewn by hand at the back of the hat. I have experienced no problems with having the silk flowers and ribbon on the hats. In other words, my honey bees are not adversely attracted to the hats. They are also great for general gardening.
Beekeeping Veil
The veil comes fitted to the hat brim and tucks easily into the neck of a shirt so that I feel protected from the Honey Bees coming up inside. I like the tuile veil because it offers me good vision and is light and easy to wear.
Hat Box
Each Custom Couture Beekeeping Hat and Veil is sold with a 14” x 14” x 7” white hat box with carrying cord.
Bee Stings
Anyone who keeps honey bees will receive a bee sting sooner or later. There are no exceptions to this fact.
A portion of the net profits from each Custom Couture Beekeeping Hat and Veil will be donated to the American Beekeeping Federation, who funds honey bee research through their non-profit organization called the Foundation For The Preservation Of Honey Bees.
Through this organization they fund not only honey bee research, but they also educate the public about honey bee. Through donations, "ABF is able to carry on our programs to serve the U.S. beekeeping and honey industry, as well as work to preserve and protect honey bees to ensure a quality food supply and environment."
The decline of the honey bee population is alarming! Colony Collapse Disorder is alarming! The disappearance of honey bees has farmers very concerned about crop pollination. One-third of all of the food we eat is the result of honey bee pollination. The need for honey bees is tremendous.
